About SOSB
The need for a well co-ordinated scientific and educational association for all the surgeons of the country was conceptualized for a while. Finally, it came into establishment in 1979 as Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh (SOSB). This society was brought forward by the founding members with a unified goal to construct a forum for exchange of ideas and skills, inspiring innovation, sharing the invaluable experience of seniors and motivating the upcoming surgeons. In the recent past, the society has entered into the global arena by becoming affiliated with the IFSC & SSSC. SOSB is dedicated to promote ethical and safe surgical practice. We also try to do our part for the underprivileged by participating in community welfare.
